AirCorps Aviation specializes in the repair and maintenance of the P-51 Header Tank (P/N - 106-46002). Our robust tooling, fixtures, and experience repairing header tanks allows AirCorps to complete the work with necessary paperwork for airworthiness.
All work begins with inspection of each individual part of the tank. An concise estimate for repair is prepared, and execution of work done to the original North American Aviation drawings and processes. All header tanks can be provided with or without indentions for transport heads and are anodized per the NAA drawings, unless otherwise specified, and pressure tested.
This vital component on the Mustang requires frequent inspection, maintenance and attention to prevent failure particularly if operating a 70+ year old tank.
